How this works
news-tldr.com is an automated briefing from a selected set of news feeds. It aims for factual, attributed summaries. Selection and summarization involve judgment; no source list or model can guarantee the absence of bias.
Evidence first
New summaries are drafted from a private ledger of supporting passages and checked against that evidence before publication. Claims, estimates and allegations retain attribution. Important uncertainty belongs in the short briefing. These automated checks can still miss errors; older summaries may predate this process.
What source counts mean
Multiple feeds from one publisher count as one outlet. Different outlets may repeat the same wire report, announcement or original investigation. Outlet count measures coverage, not independent confirmation. Source links let you inspect the reporting; known wire provenance is identified where available.
Selection and perspectives
The main briefing prioritizes public consequence and recent developments. Additional reporting remains available below it and by category. An important story can have only one reporting outlet. Coverage comparisons describe attributed differences in the articles; they are not proof that competing claims have equal support.
Reading and updates
A headline visible for one second counts as read. Cards stay in place while you skim. New hides those stories on later views, but meaningful new facts or corrections can return with a short explanation. Optional private-link sync keeps reading state aligned across browsers.
Corrections
To flag an error, open a project issue with the story URL, disputed text and supporting source. Issues are public; do not include your private sync link or personal information. Verified corrections are published as material updates so returning readers can see them.
